Dolcetto di Diano d’Alba is a distinctive red wine from Piemonte in northwestern Italy and one of only three regions dedicated exclusively to the Dolcetto grape that carries the title Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita (DOCG).  Originally established as a Denominazione di Origine Controllata (DOC) in 1974, it was elevated to DOCG, Italy's highest classification tier for wine, in 2010. It is generally more complex and structured than the more common Dolcetto d’Alba DOC.

The wine typically offers aromas of sour cherries, violets, and subtle spice. It has a light to medium body, medium acidity, and supple tannins, making it approachable yet well balanced. Its versatility at the table makes it an excellent pairing with mushroom risotto, grilled veal, aged cheeses, and salami.
